Terms of Service

Plain-language terms for using Your Market Signal.

What Your Market Signal is

Your Market Signal collects information that government agencies publish — construction permits, licensing records, and property records — cleans it, classifies it, scores it against a transparent weighted rules model, and presents it to business subscribers as project opportunities. Scores are a prioritization aid produced by published rules, not a prediction or a guarantee of any outcome.

Permitted use

  • Business-to-business research, prospecting, and outreach in your own trade and market.
  • Internal use inside your organization by your own team.
  • Exporting or saving the specific records matched, saved, or filtered for your account.

Prohibited use

  • Reselling, sublicensing, syndicating, or redistributing the data — in whole or in bulk — to third parties, operating a competing database or data product from it, or using it to build or train one.
  • Bulk extraction, scraping, crawling, or automated harvesting of the site, its pages, or its APIs beyond your own account's normal use.
  • Any use governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Your Market Signal is not a consumer reporting agency, the information is not a consumer report, and it may not be used — in whole or in part — for:
    • employment screening or any employment eligibility decision;
    • tenant screening or any housing eligibility decision;
    • consumer credit decisions;
    • insurance eligibility or underwriting decisions about an individual;
    • any other FCRA-regulated purpose.
  • Unlawful solicitation. Marketing to private individuals at personal addresses or personal phone numbers, or any use that violates the TCPA, CAN-SPAM, state anti-solicitation rules, or applicable do-not-call registries. You are responsible for the legality of your own outreach.
  • Harassment, stalking, or investigating or profiling private individuals.
  • Discrimination against any person or business, or any other unlawful activity.

Possessing or viewing a phone number, email address, or other contact detail through Your Your Market Signal does not by itself create consent or permission to contact that person or business. You remain responsible for obtaining any consent the law requires before you reach out.

Accuracy and source of record

Every opportunity records the agency, the dataset, the source record identifier, and the date we retrieved it. The publishing agency remains the source of record. Information presented by Your Market Signal may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated: public data can be delayed, amended, or withdrawn after publication, and derived analysis is an estimate. You should independently verify any material information before acting on it. Your Market Signal is provided "as is" without warranty of accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. If something is wrong, use the correction and removal form.

No endorsement

Government agencies, licensing bodies, open-data publishers, and third-party data providers do not sponsor, endorse, certify, or approve Your Market Signal unless we expressly state otherwise. References to an agency or dataset identify the origin of a record only.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled and can be cancelled at any time from your billing settings; access continues to the end of the paid period. Founding member pricing remains at the rate you enrolled at for as long as the subscription stays active.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product and its data sources change. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers.
